Nice shade, lots of toys. Well suited for 1 to 4 years

From Kastanjeparken Lekeplass, we advice a pleasant 1-km round walk along Strandgaten and Haugeveien streets. You wind find there nice and colorful 3-floored buildings.

Fenced playground, quite decent really. Slides, a slide, something that looks like a former sandbox, rocks and some tables with benches. There are bushes there, and some rose hips which of course sting as they have thorns. There is also something that looks like a bed of some kind, but it has been trampled down by eager children's feet and is unlikely to be anything particularly nice. On the other hand, the rose hips will probably take over the whole place if nothing is done about them. The place is used by families with small children and kindergartens. It is a nice place for the kids to meet other children. Something that is also terribly disappointing is the neighbor with the nicest rose garden at the end of the road, who puts his garden waste in bags that he hides in the bushes in the corner, in addition to emptying grass from the lawnmower right over the fence with the slides. It also looked as if he used pesticide on some weeds along the fence. He made no attempt to hide it either, so the municipality should clean this up.
