This is one of the oldest and largest parks in the center of Tromsø. Here stands a statue of Olav V (formerly Alexander Edward Christian Frederik, Prince of Denmark, 1903–1991), who was King of Norway from 1957 until his death. The statue was created by the artist Marit Wiklund.
