Great place for nordic skying

Such a beautiful area with lots of families enjoying the snow and sledding

Went here to sled 🛷 around midnight, had great fun! I would totally recommend it 😁 There is enough light to see, no people and the hill was good, perfect condition to go fast! In general there seems to be many nice facilities in this park. Will definitely come back to check them out another time!

The best park for sledging. Loads of good areas to explore. Great cafe, free parking and sledges for hire.

Went there for a Cross Country skiing experience. Lovely place, a lot of skiers, mostly experience and then those out on a first time taster session. The only down was, those experienced skiers so sure of themselves they actually have a dog on a harness with them, running ahead. The first fall I took was caused by the panic of seeing a dog coming around a corner with its owner in skis behing it, running towards me, on an extended lead and how, as a beginner, as I was skiing, sliding downwards, I could see myself potentially either colliding with the dog or the extended lead, so I panic and made myself fall so as to stop whilst shouting 'oh no doggy, oh dear...'. The skier with the dog didn't blink and just kept skiing past, fast and unperturbed, not even sure they realised someone panicked when seeing him and his dog coming their way. So, yes, I'm not sure you can expect experienced skiers out there to have fun etc... to care for the unexperienced first timers.... but maybe just bear in mind there might be beginners coming down a slope when you, experienced skiers attached to a dog, as speeding around a corner... Otherwise it looks like a lovely huge park suitable for skiing, ice skating, dog walking and a huge lake, frozen in winter, where people gather to watch Auroras as it is away from light pollution from the town.
